AB Construction - Topeka 2.07

Hello, I am Andy Brooks. I have lived in Topeka my entire life, and am proud to call this city my home. I grew up in the construction business, following the footsteps of my grandfather and father. I have always enjoyed the satisfaction from constructing various projects and love seeing someones reaction upon completion.

My father worked at Whelans Lumber, (now McCray Lumber) and started taking me to his work at a young age. I remember being able to go with him on Saturdays to the yard, and even went on a few deliveries. I always enjoyed going back to the projects and seeing the result of hard work and dedicated people. I, myself, worked at Whelans in high school, and continued to make connections in the construction business.

I have worked in various fields of construction including; fencing, decks, garage doors, windows, framing, and custom carpentry. I have seen first hand the problems caused by contractors that have no consideration for the next contractor. Basically saying, "Let the next guy deal with it." Not only did this cause friction between the workers, but also caused additonal headache for the homeowner.

Therefore, after 9 years in the window and door business, I made the decision to go out on my own. My goal is to provide a quality product, and pride myself on being able to provide multiple services. Therefore, there is no "passing of the buck." This allows projects to be completed in a more timely manner and holds me accountable for my work.
