VCU Business maintains the distinction of being one of only 637 business schools, or less than 5 percent worldwide, to have earned accreditation by the prestigious AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and one of just 176 schools to hold specialized accreditation by AACSB for its accounting programs. The school’s undergraduate program in information systems was among the first to be accredited by the leading engineering and technology board, ABET Inc.
